Idaho Energy Freedom hosted its inaugural Education Day at the Idaho State Capitol Building on Jan. 18, 2023. Over several hours, a steady stream of people visited the second floor rotunda, asking questions about our mission and clean energy, including legislators and Lt. Gov. Scott Bedke.

Several organizations hosted tables with information about wind and solar energy, environmentally-friendly solutions for daily life, and how to get involved including Magic Valley Energy, Xexus Greene Energy, Clēnera, Conservation Voters of Idaho, CSI’s Renewable Energy & Industrial Systems Technology Department and the Idaho Conservation League. The mood was optimistic, professional, light, and curious.

We also hosted a press conference during the event that several journalists attended and we were subsequently featured in several major news outlets.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue our mission of ensuring that all Idahoans have the knowledge and opportunity to decide for themselves and their communities regarding clean energy options. Our hope is to combat with the facts the misinformation about the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy options, which can help Idahoans make well-informed decisions.
